Ohanyan School.wmv

The children from Ohanyan School have made a presentation about their school, the daily life at the school and the various environmental activities they are involved in. The children have also taken interviews from their Principal, Susanna Ohanyan as well as from each other to share with their US-Armenian friends.

Interviews in the Video:
The Principal of the School, Susanna Ohanyan: You are doing a very interesting work because you are building connections with Armenians in different parts of the world and with the Armenian School in Chicago, in particular. I will be very happy if you present Armenia, our community, our school as well as your families so that the Armenian children in the US learn that Armenia is such a great country...

Vanand: I think that this project is a very good one. Through this project we will protect the nature and will get acquainted with our US peers.

Alisa: I have a great opinion about this project as it is really a very good one. Due to this project we can save our nature. As for the bridge from Armenia to the US, I can say that the bridge is in the process of being built step by step and it gives us a lot of hope.

Arman: This is a very good project because we are helping our nature, learning a lot about the US and the children from the US, and they are learning a lot about us. I think, after all, this bridge will be built and it will be unbreakable.

Boris From the Ohanyan School in Yerevan, Armenia

Hello my US-Armenian friends! With this video I want to tell about myself. I am Boris Haroutounyan and I study at Ohanyan School. I am already in the 6th grade. I have a sister. She is in the 3rd grade. In my spare time I like to draw. My favorite sports are swimming, karate, football, and basketball. I go swimming, take karate, and play football. I go to the gym with my father.

On my 10th anniversary my dad gave me an aquarium. I have three angelfish in my aquarium, one goldfish, two eels, and one 'glass cleaning' fish. I love my fish very much.

In one of the corners of my room I have small statues. I enjoy collecting small statues. For example, I have this statue of an eagle head. I also have this puma. I have a pyramid statue brought from Egypt and also this wooden turtle.

In the future, I want to become a banker and a president but my mom wants me to become a doctor. This is me.
